What started as "The Official Drink of the Kentucky Derby" for the horse race's 141st iteration, is now a regular offering by Old Forester. The only thing missing for a perfect mint julep cocktail is some crushed ice.
This ready-to-serve mixed drink brings together the richness of aged bourbon with the crispness of fresh garden mint. The latter is prominent on the nose and the palate, yet the sweetness and fruitiness of the whiskey with a hint of vanilla and peach shines through.
