[Ohm’s Quest] February Update: Your Support in Motion

Greetings Time-Travelers,

We hope this message finds you well. In keeping with our commitment to clear and frequent communication, we wanted to share a quick update on our project's progress. While the festive season of the Chinese New Year has momentarily slowed our discussions on the manufacturing front, we're thrilled to report significant strides elsewhere.

Happy Chinese New Year!

PCBAs Are Here: We've received the electronic prototype boards (PCBAs), and we're excited to announce that we have assembled two functional Time Radios. This is a crucial step forward, validating the bug fixes to the electronics design and enabling us to proceed full speed ahead. We've updated Scenario 1 Chapter 1 to align with the new hardware specifications. Currently, we're ironing out the final kinks with a bit more debugging. Soon, we'll be ready to run local playtests.

Calling All Paris-Based Backers: We're planning to conduct these playtests in March, right here in the Paris region. If you're nearby and keen on getting a firsthand look and providing invaluable feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your involvement could make a world of difference.

Software & Diagnostic Tests Update: To streamline testing in the factory setting, we've upgraded our diagnostic tests to better suit a factory environment. This means operators can now initiate tests without the need for a PC connection to view outputs or instructions. It's a small but significant enhancement that underscores our dedication to efficiency and quality. Also, this means we have completely functional firmware, so we can focus on our (and your) favorite part – the stories!

Sneak Peek - Diagnostic Test Clips: We're also sharing a couple of short clips showing the diagnostic tests in action. It's a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into ensuring your Time Radios meet the highest standards. Currently, the entire manual testing process takes about two minutes, and we'll continue to refine this process as needed.

Over,

Team Ohm’s Quest
