Hi Folks,
After going the long way round, the cargo ship that has all our C64x RGB Backlit Translucent's onboard has finally docked in the UK! So all that needs to happen now, is get the cargo unloaded, through customs and then delivered to me.
We have a short week next week because of good Friday. So i would like to say we will have the shipment here by Thursday but knowing what customs are like, I feel it will probably end up going into the following week beginning the 2nd of April (the 1st being Easter Monday).\xa0
So the schedule will be like this, I will send all the full systems out first and then follow that with all Barebones orders.
1 missing system.
Out of all the Indiegogo backers solid colour perks (C64 Original Beige, Vic20, C16 and Chameleon colours), i was 1 full system short (10 systems short on Kickstarter!). This was extremly stressful for me but i am happy to say that all the 11 missing systems have now been built by me an shipped out to backers inckluding 1 Commodore 64x Extreme Chameleon green. I made these up from parts i had here in the UK and some spare new motherboards - it was so lucky i had these in stock.\xa0
I can also confirm that it was 100% our partners fault. After they looked into all my evidence, they then found the missing systems had actually been boxed up with the translucent shipment, so they have docked today too! This is great news because i was really worried that our partners would not be able to fulfil the missing computers because they would not reach the motherboard minimum order quantities needed.
So what will i do with the 11 spare full systems now? I don't know to be honest, I'll probably keep hold of them and maybe use them for when i go to retro conventions. I may put a couple on the website though.\xa0
So that's it for this update except to say thatwww.mini-itx.comis now nearly ready to start selling Commodore 64x's - they have been really hard at work building a back end selecting system for their website. Basically it will be so easy to purchase a C64x and select all the correct components that fit the Cmmodore 64 enclosure to build a computer, they will even offer a service to build it for you for £35.00. there will be a component compatibility selector - they have literally taken all the hard work out of selecting components that will fit the C64x Chassis.\xa0
They have most, if not all the colours in stock and if you select the Extreme equivalent kit, it's not that far from the price in the Kickstarter campaign - even with getting them to build it for you.\xa0
If you are looking for another Commodore 64/ Vic20/ C16 and need it soon, it might be worth sending them an email.\xa0store@mini-itx.com\xa0I know they have already sold a few to people that didn't want to wait unit they went live.
One more thing before i go, i have been busy building a new Ryzen system that will be super powerful. I should be finished filming this weekend and once done i will pop the video up on YouTube and let you guys know. I am really hopeful it will be a match for our C64x Ultimate system!\xa0
All the best
