Happy New Year! As we begin to reflect on a year since the Pump Act was approved and implemented in the last year, we thought it would be important to reflect on where laws for breastfeeding moms have evolved from.

For example, it was not long ago that public breastfeeding was considered anindecent actand a form ofsexual contactin many states. Today it isfully legalin all states to publicly breastfeed, but we still have a ways to go in some places where moms arenotnecessarily protected from harassment in doing so.
