Hey Everyone,

April’s showers are here and New York definitely brought all the pollen to the party, high time to clean up and get that summer wardrobe on point. This week we’ve got theNew Way Seven-Fives, the successor to ourNew Way Shorts, plus three different flavors ofDreamweight Merino.

Why are those long-running shorts turning intoSeven-Fives? Quite simply we realized our shorter short, theNew Way Five-Fivesfit better in the waist and top block and it was time to bring that more relaxed vibe into that incredibly easy to wear seven-point-five inch inseam sweet spot. Like all our various New Ways, the essence is about combining a tailored waistband with swim ready features and high performance materials. TheF.Cloth(akaFuturecloth) is a workhorse performance fabric, lightweight yet super durable, with a soft feel, matte texture and PFC free Zelan R3 finishing to keep them clean and quick drying. The flow through powermesh pockets and internal paracord + 3Bar drawcord mean they can double as swim trunks, while the proper waistband with working fly and belt loops mean they can be dressed up as much as any short can be dressed up. If you approach summer right it’s all you need really, but pair them with aGrid LinenorDeepgrid Cottolinen Towelto really get the job done (and save some dollars).

Then there is the ultralight and luxDreamweight Merino. At 110gsm it’s pretty much as light as merino can get, and at 16.5 microns it’s incredibly fine. This stuff is so light it feels like nearly nothing at all, only softer. The secret is in the 25% nylon content that is intimately blended in. We can’t really call it a durable fabric because it’s so light, but it is incredibly durable *for its weight*. It’s basically as light and fine as it can get without having to baby the beautiful merino. On top of that it’s also knit quite densely giving it quite high UPF ratings for sun protection. The numbers vary by color, black clocking in at UPF 35 this round, Darkforest at 25, Statictaupe at 15 and Dreamgray at 10. All available now in three styles:Dreamweight Merino Cut Zero T-Shirt,Dreamweight Merino Raw Cut LongsleeveandDreamweight Merino Raw Cut Shortsleeve(plus a tank coming later this season).
