PFC James L. Szilagyi, 24, U.S. Army, born October 18, 1920, was killed in action on March 15, 1945. In WWII, Szilagyi served with 26th Infantry Division, 104th Infantry Regiment, and deployed in support of the European Campaign. As part of Patton's Third Army, he took part in some of the Allies' most crucial victories, including the Battle of the Bulge. During a skirmish at the start of a campaign to drive German forces back across the Rhine River, Szilagyi fell in battle. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero!
