Emmett, our 2-year-old, is just talking like a full-on little human, full of spunk and attitude. My hubby Mason and I will often look at each other when he is chatting up a storm and informing us on what's happening next and jokingly say "Whose kid is that?!" Lol
He is absolutely hilarious.

Prior to, well this week really, he was talking more and more but now it's like, boom, full-on monologues and instructions and specifics. It's like he just "unlocked" the ability to carry on conversations all of a sudden.
One highlight from this week is when I was going around our main living room area sweeping.

I asked him to help me pick up the toys so he would follow me, I'd tell him “See that? Pick that up and put it in the toy box please."
He would reply with, "That? Ok Mama. I'll put it in the toy box, okay Mama? Are you ready? I'm gonna run. Bye Mama." Lol
Then he'd wait for me to say, "Bye Emmett, go-go, run!" Before he would take off for the toy box.
Then he would come back, and we would repeat the same exact conversation for every toy I found as I continued my sweeping journey. He had me rolling in laughter.
Aside from that he also helped put the shoes in the "shoe stack" aka shoe rack.
I love this age, and his little pudgy ankles and face which always seem to be dirty regardless of how recently they were cleaned, and regardless if I just mopped or not.

But, hey, we are raising outdoorsy, down-to-earth kids who go frog hunting and collect bugs in the South, so I'm a-okay with every bit of it.

Aside from that, it was a nice quiet week. We got to have lunch at a local park with my hubby this week, and Emerson got TWO hits in his last game.. a triple and double!

Emma made a new friend who turns 7 this week - happy bday little lady, and 7-month-old Luke is ferocious in his 1/2 crawling 1/2 dragging pursuit for everyone's food.
