How to drive e-commerce product clicks with iterative testing📈
If you sell products online, you already know that your main image is the key driver of clicks and conversions. Making a good first impression and standing out among the crowd is essential to success. But since Amazon and other online marketplaces are more competitive than ever, it can feel almost impossible to even get your product seen.

That’s why we’re sharing asuccess storyfeaturing Jeff O’Bryant (founder of the agency Leap Stores) who took his client’s new product to the top of the Amazon search results – after it failed to rank multiple times – by optimizing the main image.

Here’s how he did it:

1️⃣ Jeff pulled his client’s and top competitors’ main images and asked a panel of US-based Amazon Prime members (using PickFu polls) which image they would click on first. Respondents overwhelmingly clicked on the competition’s main images.

2️⃣ Jeff used the most successful images as a reference to make gradual improvements to his client's main image. After each tweak, he ran more polls to test the impact of the changes. Since feedback started coming back within minutes, Jeff could iterate and run new tests quickly.

3️⃣ After several iterations and about a dozen polls,the client’s main image was winning with 70% of the clicks in the PickFu polls– so Jeff re-launched the product on Amazon using the optimized image.

Within a few days, the product was ranking on the first page for the majority of their target keywords. 🚀
